New Boat - Dunedin, New Zealand - Murray Bain is working on a new project in Dunedin. He has taken his current boat Coup de tat (South Pacifics Winner 1993) and is performing radical surgery to straighten up the exit lines, reduce aft rocker and generally make the boat go faster down hill. He has also brought Copper Complexion from Napier to use as a trial boat for the new layout and systems he will be using on the rebuilt hull. |

National Champion Brett Williams and crew Warren Smith have decided to
build their own hull after selling their winning boat "Unplugged". A
jig is being built of their own creation (by modifying an old Ballardhull). |

Winter Racing The Evans Bay Yacht Club will be holding a winter racing series for centreboarders commencing 17 June 2000 starting at 1300hrs. Any early starters for the South Pacifics this will be an ideal warmup series. Races are held fortnightly thereafter with a total of 6 races making up the series.
